Chicago Sky star Angel Reese dodged a question about a bold claim she made last season regarding her role in growing the WNBA’s popularity. A reporter asked Reese about her past comments during a Chicago Sky media day on Monday. He seemed to be setting up the question as an opportunity to reaffirm her stance.

WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo will play a pivotal role for the league this coming season in terms of providing coverage for games. The Hall of Famer will resume her role as a sportscaster for ABC, and she announced on Wednesday that she, too, will kick her season off by covering the Clark-Reese showdown on Saturday.

The rivalry between the two stars dates back to their time in college, when Angel Reese led the LSU Tigers to a blowout win over Caitlin Clark’s Iowa Hawkeyes in the 2023 national championship game.

Out of halftime, Van Lith scored five, Ariel Atkins added four, and Rebecca Allen chipped in three to keep the Sky close, despite a 13-point explosion from Collier for the Lynx. Chicago trailed by just three heading into the fourth.
