The part inside the museum is excellent. The outside attractions were mostly closed. I guess it was because it was December and during the week. That’s why I removed 1 star.Full review by FaireDifferemment

Highway 60 east from Phoenix to Hwy 88 - signs on the Freeway direct you to Canyon Lake and Lost Dutchmen State Park. Highway 88 is also Idaho Rd. Take that North, through Apache Junction and you will come to the Museum. If you get to Lost Dutchman State Park, you have gone too far.

It is FREE to go to this museum. Have Fun. I also suggest that you go down the road not even a 1/4 mile and see Goldfield ghost town. Have Fun.

The Superstition Mountains are Amazing at any point of view; but if you go to the Mining Camp Restaurant you will be really close to them. Have A Great Time.

How do I get there using public transportation?
A:
I do not believe you can, it's on a good road, and any taxi could take you. But I do not believe there is a bus that goes that way. It's about 4 miles from the nearest bus stop.
