Highway 60 east from Phoenix to Hwy 88 - signs on the Freeway direct you to Canyon Lake and Lost Dutchmen State Park. Highway 88 is also Idaho Rd. Take that North, through Apache Junction and you will come to the Museum. If you get to Lost Dutchman State Park, you have gone too far.

Take Highway 88 (North Apache Trail) from Apache Junction. It's just past North Mountain View Road on the right.

It is FREE to go to this museum. Have Fun. I also suggest that you go down the road not even a 1/4 mile and see Goldfield ghost town. Have Fun.

What do you consider to be the best vantage point for photographing the beautiful Superstition Mountains?

The Superstition Mountains are Amazing at any point of view; but if you go to the Mining Camp Restaurant you will be really close to them. Have A Great Time.

How do I get there using public transportation?
A:
I do not believe you can, it's on a good road, and any taxi could take you. But I do not believe there is a bus that goes that way. It's about 4 miles from the nearest bus stop.
